We spent the morning with the girls at a church on the other side of Timisoara. They were practicing songs they were to sing in Ireland for the churches they visit. Four hours of helping them in their pronunciation of English words, and joining them in Romanian. It was four hours of singing praises, and the best possible way to end this part of the internship I think. It was so hard to say goodbye this time (although I know I will see them in September). These girls have become very precious to me, and I don't feel I've had sufficient time with them! I want to get to know them so much more! I know this internship has a lot to do with learning how these places run--job shadowing the social worker, having meetings with the psychologist and directors, but I want more time with the girls when I come back in September. I want to listen to them gush about their experiences in Ireland and listen to their descriptions of their first plane ride. I can't wait to see them again.
